All churches should be named after God as the church of God, not any other name as we do today
I've wondered why churches in the Christian tradition have so many different and strange names like Presbyterian, Methodist, Episcopal, Orthodox, etc. I finally realized why.
The Ten Commandments are extremely clear that one should not use God's name in vain.
Man cannot comprehend God. We need to avoid confusing our thoughts about God with what God actually is.
Since our understanding of God is necessarily incomplete, the churches we create will have an incomplete understanding of God.
If we call a particular church "THE Church of God" then we are calling an incomplete understanding of God as God.
The name would be a grave misuse of God's name.
The best approach is for people to make God the focus of their lives while accepting that the physical churches that dot the planet have an incomplete understanding of God.
Great point you shared on this comment. You are right that the name of God was used in vain and most churches in our present time that ignoring the name of God but instead using Lutheran church or Roman Catholic which was not written in the bible.
