In the new testament it is another day. It is not the seventh day. Maybe, we all have heard that the sabbath is the seventh day. But the truth in the Bible is God appointed to Christian another day, not the seventh day. Let us read the book of Hebrews chapter 4, this is what the apostle Paul is explaining to the original Sabbath keepers, the Hebrews.
The Hebrews are the original Sabbath keepers.
And apostle Paul is saying that the sabbath for christians is not the sabbath that was taught by Joshua and Moses to the Israelites. Let us read Hebrew 4:8.
God had spoken of another day not the sabbath that Joshua and Moses implemented among the Israelites. That's why the Bible tells us, the apostle Paul explaining to the original Sabbath keepers, the Hebrews, that God had spoken of another day, not the seventh day sabbath.
In fact, the Lord Jesus Christ did not observe the seventh day sabbath. The Lord Jesus Christ did not keep the seventh day sabbath of the Jews, that's why the Jews wanted to kill him. But the Jews did not understand the scripture that there really is an end, an end to the seventh day sabbath, because it was preordained by God that the covenant of the sabbath and covenant of Moses shall end in a particular period of time.
Let us prove that.
The observation of sabbath, new moons, are not anymore in existence when the time of the Lord Jesus Christ came. Let us read Hebrew 7: 12. When the Lord Jesus Christ assumed the priesthood, there was a necessity for a change also in the law.
There is a time of reformation. And the time is the time of the Lord Jesus Christ. Even the law of ten percent or tithing is gone in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. When the Bible tells us that the law of Moses is not anymore existing, it was changed by the law of Jesus Christ.
