Is being a single mother acceptable in the eyes of God? | The Old Path

Bible references: Romans 2:11, James 2:1 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Corinthians 12:25, Luke 8:2

In the house of God there is no form of discrimination within one another. The church is a place where we accept people and not where we reject and condemn people because of there mistakes. There is no perfect being on earth. Everyone of us are most likely to make mistakes. We are all with faults.

In the eyes of God, there is no big sin or little sin. God counts them all as sin. Imagine God saying that a person that hates his brother is no different from a murderer. This tells us that the manner we weigh sin is not the same manner God weighs sin. We are all faulty in the eyes of God regardless of the manner of our sins.

But it's by His mercy that we are not consumed. We, being accepted by God despite our errors, should also accept people in our midst despite their shortcomings. We make the mistake of treating some people in the right manner and look down on some people because of certain mistakes they did in the past.

Romans 2:11 - For there is no respect of persons with God.

We are all equal in the sight of God. We should all be treated equally regardless of our status or our shortcomings. Many people that ended up on the wrong path and refused to retrace their steps was as a result of rejection from the house of God. One of the consequences of pushing people away because of their errors is that they will end up being accepted by people of the world.

We fight against the agenda of God unknowingly by doing this.

2 Peter 3:9 - The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

It is not in God's plan that any should perish, but that all comes to repentance and be saved. We should be more concerned about getting people to repent and not condemning them.
