The Bible admonishes us to have exercise, brothers and sisters. It is really wise for us to know the proper way of living, eating, let us remember that we must sweat—it’s a healthy way to sweat. So having physical activities at least thirty (30) minutes a day, like walking briskly where are not so many pollutants, a walk thirty (30) minutes a day will prevent obesity and other chronic diseases like diabetes, heart ailment, stroke, etc.
The Bible admonishes us to have exercise.
I Timothy 4:8-
For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
There is a little profit in body exercise compared to the exercises pf godliness but separating godliness to physical exercise and concentrating only on physical exercise, you cannot say that your body will profit a little, there’s too much profit in exercise if you are not going to compare it to the exercise of godliness.
But compared to the exercise of godliness, body exercise has only little profit but if you are going to concentrate only on physical exercise of the body, there is much much profit. Why? It expels toxins, when we exercise, we sweat. Exercise strengthens our immune system and our metabolism, there is much benefit in exercise that’s why when we eat and exercise or we work and sweat during our work and exercise, it’s a healthy way to live.
But our concern is what are we going to eat? Are there teachings of the Bible that teaches us the food we are going to eat and the healthy way of eating it.
Proverbs 17:1-
Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, Than a house full of feasting with strife.
