Thank you Father for another day to fellowship in the midst of your gathering. You alone are worthy of our praise and thanksgiving.
Today we started by talking about the early relationship amongst youth's, and early marriage which leads to early break up. We learnt that in this modern era early marriage is now common but what does the bible say. This is as a result of a lot of issues encountered by children at a very young age.
Luke 14:28 I learnt that if we are going to build a tower or house aren't we supposed to calculate the cost and know if we can finish it. If we don't estimate the cost we might not finish it, so what will it profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul.

Relationship is a very important aspect of our life because we get to spend our whole life with that person. We are to prepare because even in the bible Jacob had to prepare for 7 years before he got married to Rachel. Relationship and marriage doesn't happen in a day and this is why God wants us to plan it. As true Christians we should desist from people whom only wants to commit immorality with us, people who don't give you respect or even sacrifice whatever time it takes to get you.

The bible taught us about the sacrifices Jacob made to be with Rachel, and this is likened to what God is telling us. Also I learnt today that parenting has played a major role in marriage. Some if the early marriages are from bad parenting and this is why as Christians we should teach the children marriage according to God's doctrines. Parents should be the first teachers to their children, and they should be brought up properly.
Ephesians 6:4 I learnt that parents should not provoke their children to anger but they should be trained according to the commandments of God. So we should treat children in the commandments of God, and they should be corrected with the rod of correction especially in their foolishness. Children tend to be mischievous or act foolishness but with the rod of correction we could change them according to the will of God.

Lessons from Today's Mcgi Cares Live

1. Today I learnt that as true Christians before we go into marriage we should plan it, we should study God's doctrines and plan it in God's doctrines. Marriage or relationship doesn't happen in a day but it requires time and planning just as Jacob made sacrifices to be with Rachel. God wants us to plan our relationship life, just like a builder who wants to build a tower but first estimate the cost before building. This will help us not to rush in and out of our marriage or relationship.

2. Also I learnt that bad parenting has led to so many early broken marriages we have today. As true Christians we should always correct children in their foolishness with the rod of correction. We also should not provoke our children to anger, but we should use the rod of correction to make their ways right.

3. Finally children should learn to obey their parents in the Lord in order to live long on earth. We should also fear God at the very end and keep his commandments on earth.
