1 cor 4 vs 6 was used as the opening scripture opening our mind as to not to go beyond what is written. The commandment we must follow should be the basis of our life. (1 Cor 14:37). Philippian 1 vs 27 reveals that our way of living as Christian should be as that of the life of Jesus Christ.(Rom 10 vs 13).
Bro Eli said that any doctrine
that is different from that of the scripture is false and false means perverted, wrong. The mosaic era is past and we are in the dispensation of Jesus Christ.
Matthew 17 vs 5 say “While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” The voice was clear to the disciple. The problem of our time is that we her too many other voice. We hear voices like Budha Hindu.
Jude 1vs 4 the early Christian community recognised Jesus Christ as the only master and teacher. Jesus is the only teacher as appointed by God.
Mt 7vs 7-8 it sis evil to leave the commandment of God and hold fast to the tradition of men.
Mat 29 vs 19 he gave the eleven apostles instruction before he ascended to heaven so me must not be misled. How to make disciples is to baptize and teach them the commandment of God. In the commandment, there is no baptizing but in Jesus there is baptizing. We must first examine the doctrine we hear to know if it’s Christ. We must not accept that which is not in the scripture I cor 14:37. All the commandment of Jesus was written by God.
Bro Eli further said that the first doctrine is Baptism (Gal 1vs 13). Apostle Paul was in the Jewish religion persecuting the church of Christ , and the first thing paul was called to obey was to be baptized Act 22 vs 16. This is the prov that you become member of the Church of God after Baptism. The eaely Christian said, the one who persecuted us in time past has become and now preacher of the faith which he once destroyed. Gal 1 vs 13;22.
Act 2 vs 41 -47there were 3000 soul that were added to the church. Now before the baptism, we must receive the word of the doctrine. However baptism is necessary. The word of god must be received as a proof of joining the church.
Bro Eli made a reference to the &00 club leader saying, joining the church cannot safe a man. And that is not necessary.
My comment: I think the context of the 700 club leader is that being a mere church goer cannot safe a man. Because a lot of people seems to be member of the body in the flesh and not in the spirit. I think bro Eli should understand the context of thought by the spirit and not the letter. For the letter killeth.
Bro Eli said, Biblically the Gentiles are all countries outside Israel. We are not Israelite.
Col 1 vs 18 the body is the church and joining the Church is the will of God.
If you said you have received Christ but you rejected the word of God the word of God then you have rejected Him. Rom 12 vs 9.
The Church is an entity or the institution found by God and the spiritual body of Christ. Those who refuse and prevent others from joining the church are Anti–Christ .
Act 20 vs 28, Christ loves the church dear and the church in the bible has no end . the church will fulfill its eternal purpose and would be instrument for the wisdom of God to be preached.
Ecc 7 vs 27 , we must compare one the with the other to establish which is true .
Mt 16 vs 18 say “upon this Rock” not upon this assembly or fellowship. Man has perversely translated the Bible. Act 20 vs 28, the original Greek says the Church of God and not the church of Christ.
In conclusion, we are clarifying that the joining the church is the primary doctrine after the baptism and after the word. The true church must be called by the name of the owner.

In my understanding if that it won’t be out of place if the body of Christ is regarded as fellowship or assembly. Fellowship simply means association of people with one interest. Therefore if the body of Christ is seen as fellowship then Christ is the interest. And there is no perversion if Christ is the centre focus. Thank you and God bless you all.
