The Bible is given to us as christians to study the doctrines of Jesus Christ which are the guiding principles for the church. The doctrines were given to us by the apostles of Jesus Christ. These apostles received these doctrines from the the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ came into the world to show us the way we should get to God. The Master declared to us that he is the Way, the Truth and the Life. So, the doctrines which He has given to us are the guiding light which we can follow and be saved.
When God took the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt, He gave them the commandments which were to guide them and separate them unto God. Following the commandments made them a people which were separated unto God. The instruction that God gave them through Moses was that they should read and meditate on the laws day and night. They were to read and meditate on them so that they would be able to observe and do those things which are written in the laws.
As the followers of Jesus Christ, let us study the Word of God. When we study the Word of God we will understand the commandments of God. Anyone who is far from the word of God will not be able to observe and do the commandments of God. Without doing the commandments of God, we will be rejected by Him. Obedience to the doctrines of Jesus Christ is our daily obligation. To obey these commandments, let us read our Bible regularly.
