Cavalry greetings in name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am glad to be part of this community of God's people. The Bible study of 3January 2022, was a beautiful one, quite expository and it's not what should be forgotten in a hurry because it is an everyday experience.
We looked at a particular Question of concern which is Why do we have increased violence and wickedness in our society in the midst of the growing number of churches? Does it mean no impact is being felt. Infact for me this has been a topic of concern prior to this time. Bro Eli made us to understand that SPIRITUAL HUNGER is the answer. People are hungry for the word. People want something real that can truly transform their mindset and change their situation for the better. John6:63,Amos 8:11
Philippians 1:27,Acts 18:2, Revelation 2:6&17.
We also traced spiritual hunger to be the reason for the moral decadence in our society, civil wars, wickedness in the heart of a man against his wife, brothers, family etc
We were also asked to see our Biblea as a compass for Godly living. It has given us the standard. Everything we do should be based on the gospel, we should not yield ourselves as instruments of unrighteousness Even in the type of business we do. For instance armed robbery, prostitution, drugs etc are all forms of business but they harm the people. All these things should be put into consideration if we must please God and become instruments of righteousness here on Earth and do what is pleasing to God Almighty. We can see that the topic in question is a very realistic one and we are faced daily with it. Therefore if we must please God according to Brother Eli,we must feed our hunger for the word, pay attention to it, ensure that you word bears fruits in us so that we are not only hearers of the word but also doers of the word. This is the reason why the MCGI community have taken it upon themselves to feed us with the word through Bible study, Mass indoctrination, prayer meetings and spiritual songs. This is my first meeting here and it really made much impact in my life and I trust it is impacting you as you are reading. Please do invite people in your network to enjoy this Bible study with us.
Thank you.
