Greetings!
To make our requests known to God, we must pray. Prayer is the only way through which we make our request known to God and not any man.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
In the scriptural verse, apostle Paul was telling us that we should not be anxious for anything, he said but in everything which means in every situation, we should make our request known to God in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving.
So, the only way to tell our situation to God is through prayer, but whenever we are praying, we must pray in faith as it's through our faith that we can please God and not only that, also receive from God.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
The scripture verse above is a testament to how faith works in answering our prayers. So, for our prayers to be answered we need faith and this is because without faith our prayers will not be answered.
James 1:6-7 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For him that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
To buttress the power of faith, we can see in the above scriptural verse the fact that faith is needed for our prayers to be answered as no man without faith receiveth nothing from God.
In conclusion, prayer is very essential in making our request known unto God and we should also remember that it's through our faith that our prayers can be answered as stated by the bible and taught by Bro. Eli.
