My Review: Solution to Hardships and Sufferings (Part 2 of 3) | The Old Path

Scriptures: 2 Thessalonians 1:6-7, Lamentations 3:33-35

We live in a world where we experience all manner of hardships and sufferings. Sufferings is an inevitable experience as far as we live in this earth. Everyone is exposed to problems in one way or the day. It could be financially, medically, emotionally or otherwise.

God may allow us pass through some of these phases in life. It could be that He is trying to teach us something that would be of help to us. It could be that He is trying to teach us patience. In life, patience is a very important virtue that we need. Without patience, there are limitations to certain things we can get.

God will never allow affliction to come upon us for no just curse. Every challenging experience we face, as long as God is aware of it, is for own good. However, not all afflictions come from God. There are some afflictions that are orchestrated by men. There are some men that derive pleasure in inflicting pain on their fellow humans.

2 Thessalonians 1:6 - Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
7 - And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels

We are consoled in this scripture and assured of revenge on those who cause us trouble for not just reason. God promises to reward those that show us acts of wickedness. Tribulations can be a very difficult experience, but they are certain not to last forever. We are permitted experience tribulations, but we are provided with the grace of God to overcome.

Times of tribulations are the best times to hold unto God the most. That is another positive impact of tribulations, it draws us closer to God. Some people only get closer to God when they encounter certain situations in life. Trials also help reveal the hidden strength that is in us. We may never know how strong we are until we undergo pressure.
