Scriptures: Matthew 13:3–8, Luke 8:11–12, Romans 2:4, 1 Peter 5:8, Ephesians 2:11–13, Acts 13:7–10, Ezekiel 36:26–28

When people receive the word of God, what follows after it? Brother Eli gives is four different answers found in the Bible to this question. In the book of Matthew 13 verse 3, down to 8, we consider a parable concerning a sower. It tells us of how he went on sowing seeds; these seed is the word of God.

The parable being narrated in this scripture is what practically happens in our world today. In the book of Luke 8:11–15, we see the interpretation of the parable narrated in Matthew. Alot of people receive the word of God but there are different outcomes that follows after they have received the word.

If someone desires to accept the word of God, the devil might send someone to prevent it from happening.

Acts 13:7 - Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.
8 - But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.

Why many people's life do not change even after hearing the word of God is because the devil hindered them from receiving it into their spirit. The devil knows the benefits of God's word and would do anything in his power to avoid it from having impact in the lives of people.

But with strong desire and resilience, it is possible to receive God's word and allow it to bear fruit in you.
