DAY 3 (THREE) MASS INDOCTRINATION | 18TH MAY, 2022

MASS INDOCTRINATION DAY 3

**Bro. Eli Soriano: Teacher**

Hello everyone, trust you all are doing great. I will be sharing what I learned from the teaching of mass indoctrination on the doctrine of our Lord Jesus Christ as it has to do with Prayer which impacted us in no small way.

Prayer is a request for help from God, it is how we talk to God.

THINGS TO NOTE ABOUT PRAYER.

++** Matthew 6:7 "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. The World English Bible translates the passage as: **++_++**In praying, don't use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for **++_their much speaking"

  • Avoid unnecessary repetition in prayer. This is because even before you say your prayers to God, He's already aware of your request. He is the God of all wisdom. Just like the popular saying goes; "A word is enough for the wise" He is a wise and Merciful God, whose wisdom transcend the wisdom of man.

  • Prayer must be made with a clean and righteous heart: Prayers made out of a grievous and wicked heart is an abomination to God and cannot be heard.

  • when you pray as a man, do not pray covering your head, and for the woman, don't praying uncovering your head.

Is there a Particular posture for prayer?

**- **there isn't a mandatory posture one must observe before praying to God, However it is preferred to kneel while praying as this shows an act of reverence and respect to God . Nonetheless, you can stand also stand praying but when you do, the bible advise that you do not do it to show off as the heathen do. "Prayer is not to show off some religious exercise" To avoid showing off, it is even advised to do it in your closets.

  • Let word of God dwell in us richly

I payer that God will help us to live up to the standard of His word in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you real good.

Due to some circumstances, the publishing rules of our Hive community have to change. The changes are as follows;
Do not include any verse in the post, if we want we can add some screenshots of the verse inside our post.
✅ Minimum of 400 words in a single post.
✅ Pls include a personal video
✅ It is good if we can answer these 3 simple questions when making our Hive post.

  1. What are the important points we have learned from God's words discussed in the Zoom meeting?

  2. What are our old beliefs or expectations that were improved by listening in the Zoom meeting?

  3. How does the study affect us that can make us a better person that we can use in our daily lives?

We suggest adding more of our personal reflection on the topic discussed, I can give an example here,

Matthew 28:20 - we have learned that we are to obey the commandment of the Lord and preach the gospel in all nations until the end comes but who are the main people who will preach, it is in the church of God as it is written

1 Peter 2:9 - God's people have the obligation to preach the gospel that is found in the one body.

In this way we can always add our personal reflection and understanding, we can avoid mass quoting the whole verses. We have to apply this to avoid any conflict from other communities. I hope we understand, God help us.
