Romans 2 vs 13
For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified

Hearing the word of God everyday doesn’t make you just before God, what makes you just/righteous is by doing the will of God
You can be listening to the word of God everyday and at all time and still be the same as a sinner because you’re not putting what you hear to practice and you’re not obedient

Roman 10 vs 17
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God

Luke 23 vs 42-43-: And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

(43 )And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise

The thief has never met Jesus Christ but he has heard a lot about him and he believed in him and he also believed that Jesus is the son of God and had faith in him so saved him from perishing
