As humans, we often wake up each day wondering why we are here. Life can be tough and unpredictable, however the Bible gives us a clear and comforting answer that the purpose of our existence is to know God, love Him and live according to His will.
From the beginning, God created man in His image so we could reflect His glory. We were not created by accident or chance. In Ecclesiastes 12:13, the Bible says “Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man”. This means that our purpose is rooted in obedience, worship and a relationship with our Creator.
Our existence also has a purpose beyond ourselves. God wants us to be a light to others, to love our neighbors, show kindness and use our gifts to help the world.
The purpose of our existence is simple yet important, which is to live for God, walk in His love, and fulfill the assignment He has given us. When we live with this understanding, life stops feeling empty and starts becoming meaningful.
We are called to do good works in everyday of our lives
