These are the lessons learnt from Bro Eli. The teaching is based on fasting. How it is commanded for us to fast and what it means to fast.

I Corinthians 7:3-5 KJV
3. Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
4. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
5. Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
The husband has power over the body of his wife, so also the wife has power over the body of her husband. No one should deny the of his/her body except they both agreed to abstain from a sexual relationship may be due to fasting.

What is the meaning of fasting?

Isaiah 58:6 KJV
Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
You're are a band to wickedness. If you fast you'll lose that band of wickedness, you'll also deceit from evil deeds like gambling, hatred, u forgiveness. Whenever you're fasting you should feed to those that are hungry, give clothes to those that are naked. Fasting is healthy for our body system. It flips a regenerative switch. It strengthens our immune system to fight against germs and infections.

How do we fast?

Matthew 6:16-18 KJV
16. Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
17. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
18. That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
Fasting should not be told to everyone. If you're a couple it is right for you to tell your spouse, for awareness to abstain from a sexual relationship.
Fasting and prayer are very important and when fasting you should do good works.

Hebrews 13:4 KJV
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
Your body should only be to your husband. That's why you should not display your body for others to see cause it might bring them to fall.
II Peter 2:14 KJV
Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
Some men sin with their eyes due to what they see.

I Corinthians 11:4 KJV
Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
Man is the head of a woman. And whenever a man is praying he should not put a veil on his head but when a woman is praying she should cover her head.
I Corinthians 11:7-10 KJV
7. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
8. For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.
9. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
10. For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.
The meaning of the veil is to show a sign of authority that there is someone above her. This means she is under Christ and her husband.
I Corinthians 11:14-15 KJV
14. Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
15. But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
The veil given by God is the long hair of the woman. It is provided for a man to grow long hair.
