THANKSGIVING OF GOD'S PEOPLE - 9TH APRIL, 2022.

CALVARY GREETINGS BRETHREN,

MY NAME IS OLUBUNMI, TODAY IS THE 10TH OF APRIL 2022.

GLORY BE TO GOD FOR THIS WONDERFULLY OPPORTUNITY TO PARTAKE IN THE THANKSGIVING PROGRAMME CONDUCTED YESTERDAY - THE 9TH OF APRIL, 2022 VIA ZOOM MEETING.

I'M HERE TO SHARE THE IMPORTANT POINTS I LEARNT FROM THE THANKSGIVING SERVICE.

HERE ARE THE IMPORTANT POINTS I LEARNED FROM THE THANKSGIVING SERVICE VIA ZOOM.

​

• I Learnt that we have a Mediator of the new Convenant which is Jesus Christ our Lord.

He's seated on the throne at the right hand of God, making intercessions for us as his children.

​

• So whenever we sin or do wrong we should humble ourselves before him, and admit our wrongs. We need to do this so that the devil doesn't inject pride into us.

​

• The Bible says he who covers his sin shall not prosper, but he who confesseth them shall receive Mercy - We are to admit our sins, confess them and ask for Forgiveness and we would be Forgiven and Cleansed.

​

• We have a Good Father, who keeps no record of our wrongs, he is All Gracious, All Loving - so we are sure we would be forgiven if we repent and ask for forgiveness.

​

• When you sin, you should draw near to God and not stay far from him. Humbling yourself means drawing near to Christ against whom you sinned and asking for Forgiveness

The devil always tries to imbibe this guilty feeling or guilt into believers when they sin to keep them away from the presence of God instead of remaining in God's presence. We should not give the devil a chance, because he's a liar and the Greatest one at that

• I Learnt that you should not Judge yourself, God is the Judge and not you, So we should learn to Trust God and draw near unto him

​

• I Learnt that the devil wants to use sin to remove the word of God from our hearts so we don't pray anymore because of guilt, we should not let him. We should learn to always turn to God.

​

• It says in the Bible that- If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

​

• I Learnt that we should also stop sinning because, sin grows According to

James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

​

• I Learnt that Listening to the word of God Produces fruits in us. One fruit is Patience, another is Faith.

​

• For you to have Faith, you need to listen to the Gospel

​

MY BELIEFS THAT HAVE BEEN IMPROVED THROUGH LISTENING TO THE THANKSGIVING TEACHINGS

​

1. I KNOW NOW THAT FAITH COMETH BY HEARING, AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD

​

1. I KNOW NOW THAT, One result of keeping the gospel and listening to God's word is SALVATION -

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

​

1. GOD CHOSE THE FOOLISH THINGS OF THIS WORLD TO SHAME THE WISE, he did this so that all Men would be saved and no one would boast and, That no flesh should glory in his presence.

1 Corinthians 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.

​

1. SO THEREFORE LET NO MAN GLORY IN RICHES, BUT LET HIM THAT GLORIETH, GLORY IN THIS-

"That he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD"

1. GOD DOESN'T DISCRIMINATE AGAINST ANYONE,GOD Is no respecter of persons.

​

HOW TODAY'S TEACHING AFFECTED ME AND MADE ME A BETTER PERSON THAT I CAN EMULATE IN MY DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES

​

1. I KNOW NOW THAT, I AM a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that I should shew forth the praises of him who hath called me out of darkness into his marvellous light

​

2)I KNOW NOW THAT, THERE'S A PURPOSE FOR MY CALLING - IT IS, SO I SHOULD PROCLAIM THE GLORY & HONOUR OF THE ONE WHO CALLED ME - THIS IS THE PURPOSE OF MY CALLING.

​

1. I KNOW NOW THAT WHEN GOD CHOOSES, IT'S NOT UNTO PARTIALITY, THOSE WHO GOD CHOSE ARE THOSE WHO HE WOULD USE AS INSTRUMENTS TO PROCLAIM THE GOSPEL TO THE WHOLE WORLD, BECAUSE HE WANTS ALL MEN TO BE SAVED. SO I'VE BEEN CHOSEN TO PROCLAIM CHRIST.

2 Thessalonians 2:14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

​
