To get a relationship with God, you must surrender yourself under the authority of Jesus Christ. You must accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.
The attitude with which we make our prayers equally matters. If you are coming to God for prayers, you must believe that He exists. You can't ask something from someone whom you do not believe in. Those who come to God must believe that He is and that he rewards those seek Him.
