Not everyone can genuinely seek God. The search for God requires preparation of the heart, faith, and a willingness to change. To truly seek Him, a person must first believe and be ready to abandon their former way of life. This means turning away from sin and choosing a path of righteousness and holiness, because an unholy life cannot lead anyone into the presence of a holy God. God does not reveal Himself to those who cling to corruption and evil.
Finding God begins with spiritual rebirth. A person must be born again, allowing God to transform their heart and mind. God does not delight in iniquity, nor does He work with what is impure, defiled, or wicked. Since God is holy, those who desire to seek His face must also pursue holiness, sincerity, and purity of heart. True devotion is not only outward but begins from within.
Believers, and those who sincerely desire to know God, must live prayerful lives. They must not only heasr the Word of God but also obey it. Being a follower of Christ requires consistency in studying the Scriptures, which is the Bible, and applying its teachings daily. Fellowship with other believers is also essential, as the Bible instructs us not to neglect gathering with the people of God for encouragement and spiritual growth.
Moreover, a person filled with pride, arrogance, lust, or boastfulness cannot truly seek God. These attitudes oppose humility, which God desires from His followers. Seeking God is not complicated it simply requires obedience. As Christians, we are called to do what God loves and deliberately turn away from what He hates. When we walk in obedience, humility, and faith, we position ourselves to truly know God and experience His presence.
