Greetings everyone, I welcome you all to my blog.
It's another great day to listen to the word of God by his servant Bro Eli Soriano.
Our Lord Jesus Christ has made it clear that genuine and lasting peace is found only in Him. In a world marked by sin, chaos, and suffering, true peace cannot exist apart from Christ.
Jesus Himself affirms this truth in John 16:33, saying, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Through these words, Christ prepares His followers for the reality of trials and hardships in a wicked world. At the same time, He offers reassurance—despite the difficulties we face, peace is possible through Him because He has already conquered the world.
This message is further supported in the book of Isaiah. In Isaiah 57:19–21, God promises peace and healing to those who draw near to Him, whether they are far or near. However, He also declares that the wicked are like a restless sea, unable to be calm and continually producing turmoil and impurity. Scripture plainly states that there is no peace for the wicked.
Jesus Christ, therefore, both teaches and embodies true peace. He makes it known that peace is not meant for those who persist in wickedness, but for those who accept Him and walk in righteousness. Those who follow Christ can experience His peace even while living in a corrupt and troubled world.
In 2 Peter 2:7, we are reminded of righteous Lot, who was deeply distressed by the immoral behavior of the people around him. His experience in Sodom and Gomorrah shows how dangerous and troubling it is to live among wickedness, as he was constantly burdened by their sinful ways.
Finally, 1 John 2:15–16 warns believers not to love the world or the things in it. Anyone who loves the world cannot truly love the Father, because worldly desires—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—do not come from God but from the world.
Therefore, we are instructed not to set our hearts on worldly things. Doing so separates us from the love of the Father. Although the world is filled with sinful desires, true peace and fulfillment are found only in God.
Thank you for reading.
We should always trust in God because in him our soul shall find peace.
