I'm here to contribute to the question: IS THERE ANY PUNISHMENT FOR THOSE WHO MISTRANSLATED THE WORD OF GOD?
First of all we should know that taking away from God's word is like taking away another personality of God and God doesn't want that before we were formed he knew us, and it will be a great misconduct to try to help God or take away from his word.
Revelation 2:18 it says, for I testify unto Everyman that hearth the word of the prophecy of this book if any man shall add unto him the plague that are written in this book.
Revelation 22: 19 And if any man shall take away from the word of the book of the prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of Life and out of the holy city and from things which are written in his book.
We should not question God, he knows how to deal with people in any given time.
If we try to mistranslate the word of God, there are punishment for us. There are curses already. It is not an instant physical death but it is a curse that will eventually happen to that person and it might take a long while for it to happen.
