I want to contribute to the question is man's fate under the control of God?
Man's fate is under the control of God only when you submit yourself to him.
In Thessalonian 2:11 it says, And for this cause God shall send the strong delusion, that they might be demned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
You must believe and have trust in God before he will be the director of your steps .
God does not allow you to believe lies, darkness and be lost. He gives you the freedom of trusting him enough to submit to him.
James 4:7 tells us to submit ourselves to God, resist the devil and he will run away from you.
So we have to submit ourselves to God so that he will direct, guide and protect us so that we won't be lost.
