Mass Indoctrination Day 6 18/7/2022

Good morning brethren. Hope the Lord is been gracious to us all. It's always a thing of joy to be in the midst of the brethren where God's word is being discussed. Am brother Ajah Kelvin and am doing this post to share with us my benefits from the mass indoctrination Day 6. This post is done on the 19/7/2022.

From the teaching I learnt that we are to confess our sins one to another. When we confess our sins and start living rightly,it takes away the barrier sin would have placed to hinder our prayers and at that point when we pray our prayers would matter to God. The Bible says that the prayer of the righteous man avail much. James 5:16. Elijah was a man like us but because his ways were pure before God ,He prayed for it to not to rain in Israel for three(3) and half years and it was so as je had prayed to God. We learnt there too that when we offend one another,we are to confessed to the person we sin against but firstly to God. We aren't oblige to confess our sins to the priest for it's God only that can forgive sins and not the priest. The person that we sin against is to pray to God on our behalf in turn. In Psalms 32:5,we also saw that confession is firstly to be made to God.

According to 1John 5:16, we learnt that there is a sin death (blasphemy against the Holy Spirit) and there is a sin not unto death ie sin that is not premeditated. when we see a Brother in sin, the first obligation is to pray for the brother and not to spread the rumour of his sin. when there is love,we would not spread the rumour/news of a brother. 1 Peter 4:8. Love helps us to forgive one another, for love covers multitude of sin. We should be willing to forgive. we all err at one point or the other,so we should try to forgive one another. According to Proverbs 24;9, the thought alone of foolishness is a sin without even commiting the sin.

We also learnt in Proverbs 28:13, that if we cover not our sins,then we shall be forgiven, but if we do , we shall not obtain forgiveness from God. we need to confess and forsake our sin. The obligation of the person who was wronged, is to pray for the person that wronged him who has asked for forgiveness. Job too prayed for his friends who wronged him and God blessed Job for it. When we are upright before God, God delights in prayers.
James 5:16, Luke 4:25-27, Proverbs 15:8.

The house of God on earth is the church. The spirit of God doesn't dwell in structure made by hands but it dwelleth in us, for we are the temple of God. 1cor3:16. The church should be a house of prayer, meaning a church should always be filled with a prayerful people. The prayers shouldn't be vain repetitions. The church of God is Christ-Heb 3:6, Heb10:21. The house of God in our time,is the church of God and God should find a prayerful people in it.

We also learnt that there should be decency and orderliness in the church og God. We should treat the house of God with preference-Ecle 3:5. The act of praying and facing the East is just for the purpose of orderliness. it's a discipline and not a doctrine. The glory of God started from the east.

When we pray to God,He intervene in our situations-2chron 7:14. Lamentations 3:39 tells us that God isn't interested in afflicting pains on His children. If we obey God, before we start praying,He is already listening. Most times we have problems because of what we are doing (our sin)-Lamentation 3:39.

We learnt too that God would never leave us nor forsake us(Heb 13:15). there is nothing God can't do. we should be contented with what we have. God would always be there for us-Phil 4:6. We should avoid doubt while praying to God. when we doubt God's capability,we are less likely to get answers to our request from God. We should pray to God with firm faith in Him. James 1:16.
