I want to contribute to the question - Why do righteous people suffer why the wicked ones prosper?
The word wicked depicts a particular nature. It speaks of evil or mischievousness. On the other hand, the word righteous also describes the nature of a specific person, that quality can be one of virtue and moral uprightness in a person. A wicked is an evil or mischievous person, while a righteous person is an upright person.
Now, why do the wicked prosper, and the righteous suffer?
When you ask the question, why do the wicked prosper and the righteous suffer, in a social gathering, it raises a lot of dust. The religious sects believe that the prosperity of the wicked is only for a short while and that the end will be destruction. Others are of the view that we live in an unfair world, and that bad things happen to good people. However, the fact remains that the wicked prosper because of the price they have paid.
God is always just and God's justice is served not only in this life. But there is another life to come
Let look at a story of John the Baptist, that died at a very young age in a cruel hand of Herod, despite he did not do anything wrong to anybody ,which makes it injustice to John the Baptist.
John 5: 28- Do not be surprised at this; the time is coming when all the dead will hear his voice.
John5:29 And come out of their graves: those who have done good will rise and live, and those who have done evil will rise and be condemned.
Let us not make it sound unjust in our mind when evil thing happen to Good people while good things happen to those that are evil.
These are the declaration of God in the Bible; evil people may win, evil people may prosper, but all these will not last longer.
Job 20:6 the wicked ones may be so great that his head reaches the clouds but he will be blown away like dust those who use to know him will wonder where he has gone.
Mathew 5:10-12 "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
