HOW A HUSBAND AND WIFE SHOULD BEHAVE FOR THEIR PRAYERS TO BE ANSWERED BY GOD.
Bro Eli made it clear that during the period of fasting and prayer, a husband and wife should keep themselves and practice self-control.
That is, during the period of fasting and prayer, they shouldn't have sexual relationship.
They should come to and agreement regarding that, so that Satan tempt them not.
He stressed that, during the period of fasting and prayer, we should give the food we should have eaten to the needy around us.
During the period of fasting and prayer, we should forgive our debtors and offenders.
When we're fasting, we should dress well and be of good countenance, not to allow people detect that we're fasting.
He admonished that women should always dress decently to avoid causing fellow men to sin, as it is written what whosoever look at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her in his heart. So our women should dress in such a way that would cause our men to sin.
Women should endeavour to submit to their husbands in everything, as the husband is the head of the wife.
Men on the other hand, should love and care for their wives as the weaker vessel. They should dwell with them according to knowledge. They should provide for their households, not to stress that wife to be the provider.
A man who can't provide for his household is worst the an unbeliever.
The husband shouldn't be bitter against the wife. He should treat her as he would love to be treated.
Bro Eli, admonished that women during prayer and fasting should keep long hair, as it is their glory and a covering that shows a sign of submission to authority over them.
Men should go on lowcut, not to cover their head to respect Christ who's their head.
Bro Eli made it clear that unbelieving wife is sanctified by a believing husband and unbelieving husband is sanctified by a believing wife, and if they're all believers, then, their children would be godly.
John the Baptist, was filled with the holy spirit from the womb because his parents were all righteous before God, according to John 1:15.

My fasting and prayer will be more effective as I'll be abstaining from activities of the flesh during fasting.
