Knowing the future | The Old Path

Greetings everyone

The children of God should be knowledgeable of the future.
This because the Holy Bible is not only a doctrinal book, but a book of prophecy, and prophecy I the for telling of the future according to the Bible.

Words of prophecies are made by God, for us to believe in him, when they come to pass.
So Christians are told of of the future, not to love life by chance. By knowing the future, we will be able to shape it.

Proverbs 16: 9

A man's heart devised his way, but the Lord directed his steps.

Man plans his actions from the bottom of his heart, but the Lord shows him the way. As a result, we have the ability to create, plan, and consider what we will become in the future. Our paths will be directed by the Lord God. A Christian must therefore be confident in his destiny; we cannot simply expect things to happen and believe in the things that come our way. He is aware of what will take place. Most importantly, he is aware of how his time on Earth will conclude. We must first accept that death is a fact of life.

In Ecclesiastes 9:5

The living knows that they will die, but the dead knows nothing.

Since we are part of the living and death follows life on this earth, we must first understand that we are going to die. Of course, there will be those who will not pass away; those who will have the good fortune to witness the return of our Lord Jesus Christ will no longer know mortality. But everyone is fated to pass away. Nobody will argue against that. Even the most well-known physicians and specialists acknowledge that they will pass away one day. The first thing we need to know is that. We cannot make assumptions. Because the living are aware that they will eventually pass away, we must accept that we will eventually perish. But what would come next?

Hebrews 9:27

And as it is appointed unto man wants to die, but after this the judgment.

Man will certainly face judgement after death, So, we have to know our future, especially the distinct future for a servant of God.

Ephesians 2:10,

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto Good works which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

We must also understand that God had already predetermined the good works we were to engage in.
Therefore, while we are on Earth, we must be confident in our present, our work, and our efforts to serve God. We must also be confident that we will pass away and that there will be judgment at some point, and we must keep God's commandments while we are here.
