john 1:3 tells us that the Apostels wrote what they saw and heard...
the things we read of in scripture are inspired of tge the Holy Spirit not every experience was written in scripture but that which the Holy spirit inspired to be written. Matthew didnt didn’t have to be on the mountain with Jesus to know about the experience because he heard so he wrote what he heard some of wht why he wrote he saw as well.
