Marrriage is a tradition that is as old as man. In these modern days, singles already have a madeup list as to what they want in a wife. However the best way to approach the seach for a wife is to seek God. Remember that after God had created Adam, he knew adam needed a companion and so gave him Eve. That is to say thay God knows what you need as a man seeking for a wife. You just need to seek his face so he reveals to you.
The book of proverbs tells us about series of things that could be inherited from family but it mentions that only God will give a good wife.
Proverbs 19:14 (KJV):
House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the Lord.
When seeking a marital partner, ask of the Lord
