Hearing But Not Listening To God'sWord ....pt2

In a build up from the previous discussion (pt1) Bro Eli referred to those who hear the word of God but do not listen ( to understand, assimilate, to recieve, To Do) he likened them to idols, graven images caved out by the works of man's hands, all these idols which they worship have ears, eyes, nose, mouth, skin, but none of these organs are working, so the people who hear but do not listen its like the ears are just there for fancy.

In Today's discussion Bro Eli now delves into these idols which the people worship, all the graven images made of wood or stones or whatever man chooses to call a god, but then he digress a little bit telling us idol worshipping isn't all about these images, point out them according to the book of collosians 3:5

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

All this are all referred to as idol worshipping, when men chooses to give attention and Yeiling themselves to these things is also idolatory, in another scripture Ephesisans 5:5

For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

All these he said, is the works of satan an enemy of God, since man will not listen to Gods word, but acting innocence satan will come up and take over that mans heart into all of these idol worshipping, turning them against God.

This is nit what God had decided for humanity, but as man has the ability and willpower to do as he so pleases, he can, but there are consequences to all of his actions and inactions...
