The lesson I learned from this message: Is Praying Enough To Get Closer To God
According to Bro Eli Soriano praying alone does not get us closer to God but when we pray, we must do what God want us to do.
This message has given me a clearer understanding of Matthew 7:7
Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
When we ask God in prayer what we want, then we have to go out there and seek what we had ask him in prayers.
Example of this is when we need a job, we first go to God in prayer then go out there to seek the job by submitting our application letter at the appropriate places.
Then we knock by still praying and God will cause it to be open to us by opening doors of employment and other opportunities and when we make use of those opportunities our prayers are answered. Even the Bible says in
2 Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. KJV
Therefore we should pray and act accordingly. Ask and Act Thank you.
So, it is not good to pray and be lazy
