All glory be unto God in heaven for an opportunity to be in his presence and to partake in the worship of his holy name. I really appreciate brother Eli for sharing the word of God with us.

Summary of what I learnt.
From the service Bro Eli made us to understand that, in the true church of God, there are 3 sacrifices that should be done out of freewill and not until we are asked to do so. Actions about these sacrifices should be as directed by the holy Spirit, and should be from the heart and not grudgingly. These sacrifices includes:

  • Vows.
  • Good works with thanks giving.
  • Contributions/Offerings.

As Christians, there are duties that expected of us by God, and we are expected to carry out these duties even without been told. I was made to understand that many Churches of our generation no longer preach the real gospel of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, but now preach it in a way to gain material things. Many Churches cause brethren to derail due to the wrong words they preach.
As Brethren such acts are not expected from us.

Every contribution in the house of God is supposed to be used for the propagation of the of the gospel of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ and not to be used for material things.

Every Thanksgiving is supposed to be done out of own decision and not because we are asked to do so. Thanksgiving is something we should do on our own and not because we are asked to do so. Every act of giving should be done out of freewill and not forcefully.

Whenever we pray to God, and we make a vow or a promise that when we get answers to our supplications, we will do a few things in appreciation for what he has done for us but many brethren fail to keep to this promise. We are encouraged to always keep to the promises we made to God as we were not forced to make them.

From the scriptures in Ecclesiastes 5:4 From this passage we were made to understand that, if we do not want the wrath of God to befall us whenever we make a promise or a vow to him, we must keep to the promises we made, this is the reason why no one should be forced to make a vow.

From the service I also learnt that, Tithing is not a commandment from God and not to be paid forcefully. In new millennium churches, members are forced to pay tithes, this is wrong and not a good thing to do.

I also learnt that, there shouldn't be any fixed amount that brethren are expected to pay in the house of God. Every contribution made should be out of freewill and with a cheerful heart.

From the scriptures in Isiah 1 vs 19 from here it was made clear to us that, for every believer who does the things of God out of freewill and not because they are forced shall be rewarded by the father.

formal belief.

I used to believe this pastors who force members to pay tithes are right but today's service made me to know that they are wrong.
I was made to know that contributions in church should not be fixed and tithing should be by choice and not by force.

How does the study affect us that can make us a better way person that we can use in our daily lives?

From the study, I was made to understand that it is expected of me as a Christian to always keep to my vows. I will also try not to make vows or promises I cannot fulfil.

Thanks be to God.

Thanks be to God for listening on our meeting.

MCGI Cares (Hive) community's main mission is to share the words of God, not the Hive upvotes. If we get upvotes, please treat it as just a bonus. Do not focus mainly on material things as the bible is teaching us not to look at things seen but rather focus our eyes on things not seen.

II CORINTHIANS 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
