God is the creator of the universe, and so everything is owned and controlled by him. The fate of Man is controlled by God, that's why as humans we have to submit ourselves to God and obey all his commandments because if we disobey God's will, then our destiny will depend on our actions. After hearing God's word and receiving admonitions, if we are going to go against God's will, then he will allow us to be in darkness.
The book of Proverbs 16:9 says: A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps. As humans, we do not have the power to direct our steps or to make our own ways. We cannot by ourselves be righteous because the heart of man is full of evil that's why we need God in everything we do.
As believers, let's submit ourselves to God, obey him and our fate will be controlled by him.
