Mass indoctrination Day 9

Good day brethren. It's indeed a privilege to be opportune to hear God's word, for the entrance of God's words into our hearts give light (life) and understanding to the simple. Am brother Ajah Kelvin and am doing this post to share my lessons on the mass Indoctrination Day 9 on the 18/8/22.

The teaching started with a rhetorical question of where do we start doing good? and we looked at the book of Hebrews 10:25 and we learnt there that we are to provoke one another unto love and good works and we are not to forsake the gathering of the brethren. whether we have offering or not we shouldn't be discouraged from going into the house of God. Giving offering isn't the primary reason of our gathering in the church but our focus is for exhortation, to provoke one another to good works. we are to observe fully one another ie consider one another when we gather. Just as in the case Bro Eli shared, were he observe that a brother was wearing same clothes all the time because he couldn't afford to buy a new one; the brother was poor and he bought a cloth for him. He was able to know the need of the brother because he observed carefully and this is what we are to do when we come together in the church. we should have a sense of care and sense of concern to see if there is any in need amongst us. In the book of Matthew 26:41,we are to observe one another. it doesn't necessarily means to step up awake till the midnight. when we observe/watch we would be able to avoid that which is evil. so, we shouldn't stay away from the church because of lack of offering. According to James 2:1, Nobody should be discriminated in the church irrespective of ones financial status, everyone should be treated equally, for both the rich and poor are all equal before God. when we come together, we should be able to observe the poor amongst us and render help to them. Even in the christian community in the past, there were poor Christians too. Both the poor and rich are all created by God. When we consider one another, even the poor won't be noticed amongst us . In 1 Corinthians 11:21-22, Paul discouraged the habit of eating and even wasting food when there are brethrens who have nothing to eat. There is joy in seeing the brethren. John desire to come to the people physically that their joy may be full/perfect- 2John 1:12. Pefect joy can be felt when we are seeing the brethren physically.

We also learnt that the gathering of God's people have a program. According to Acts 20:7,the brethrens gathered on the first day of the week being Sunday and apostle Paul preached to them till midnight. The major part of the activity in the house of God is studying of the word of God unlike in some gathering where the word of God is just shallowly studied. As the end is approaching , we should spend more time studying the word of God so we would not be deceived by the diverse doctrines around.

We also learnt that , there are other things we do too in the church. According to 1Corinthians 14:26,we should come with Psalms, doctrine, revelation and interpretation. we should sing when we come into the presence of God. singing is very important. it brings joy to the heart. Singing has even being in existence before the world was created. In Job 38:4, we saw here that the angels sang giving glory to God for the works of Creation. The morning star in the above read passage, are the angels (Rev1:20). singing is even older than the world. singing is one of the good thing that man can do. we should sing for almost everything. There's a song for everything eg marriage, birds, etc. In Revelation 7:11, the angels,the 4 beasts and 24 elders are all in the presence of God and are all singing before God day and night continuously. The angels while on earth sang too. In Luke 2:7-14,when Jesus was born, the angels visited them in Bethlehem and sang praises to God. The angels before God are innumerable in numbers. According to the teaching, we are to sing to God and not to any man when we come into the presence of God (Col 3:16). we are to offer praises to God continually (Heb 13:5). According to Psalms 92:1-3, it's a good thing to sing praises to God. when singing, it's scripturally right too to use instrument if we want to. There are songs that are called songs of deliverance. There is a deliverance God is doing when we sing. In 1Sam 16:23, David sang and King Saul was delivered of the evil spirits that possessed him. Through singing evil spirits and demons are driven out from our midst. The gathering of the saints wasn't limited to just one day , but they gathered everyday of the week-John 20:19. So, it's wrong to say God can only be worship just in one day or choosing just a particular day to worship God.
