Mass indoctrination Day 1

Calvary greetings everyone. Hope we are all doing greatly. I am Bro Ajah Kelvin and i am doing this post to share my lessons from the mass Indoctrination Day 1 on the 5/9/22. This post is done on the 5/9/22.

Highlights of some lessons from the Day 1 mass indoctrination
(1) We are in the period of Christianity and not the mosaic era and therefore we are to study and live according to the doctrine Christ taught and not by any other.

(2) we were taught according to Matthew 17:5 that Christ was appointed by God as the only teacher that we are to listen to and to consult . Listening to any other is very dangerous because there are somany out there that are teaching preaching the gospel in deception. -Jude1:4,Mk 7:7-8

(3) We also learnt that if we must be very careful when it comes to practicing religion;we must do thorough research so we don't get to be mislead or fall into deception.we have to compare one thing from another with what is in the bible,so we can be able to which is the truth-Ec7:27.

(4) We also learnt in the teaching that baptism is the first doctrine Christ recommended for the church and it's one of the condition for becoming a member of the church- Mt 28:19-20(the great commission). when Paul was saved, one of the instruction given to him by God, was for him to be baptized and be cleansed from his sins and be added to the church.

(5). We also learnt that the church was established by God. He sent Christ to do this. The church is very important to God and it's a false teaching to say that it's not necessary joining the church; it's anti Christ to say so. In Acts2:41,those that believed the gospel after Peter during the pentecost were baptized and added to the church. we are Gentiles and Gentile are hires and hence we are to be part of the church. Baptism is the formal requirement for joining the church- Galatians 1:13

(6). We also learnt that if anything is to be accepted as a commandment/law of God, then it must be written in the bible otherwise it's not a true teaching. For instance, it's not written anywhere in the bible that God would bring down His kingdom from heaven to Earth, hence such teaching should be considered false.

(7). We also saw in Ephesians 5:25,that the church has no end and can't be put to an end by any man ; the church is eternal, which means that the claim that the era of the church has ended is not true and it should be considered as anti Christ. The church is established by God to preach and teach the wisdom of God. The church is the pillar and ground of all truth.

(8) We also learnt in course of the study that anything that is of God is expected to be called by His name .The church belongs to God and it should be called after Him ie "church of God"

(9) We also saw from the teaching that Jesus Christ didn't come to build his own church but the church of God. He was sent by God to do according to the will God-Deu 18:18.

(10) We also learnt from the study that God has a household in heaven and also a household on earth . The household of God on earth is the church and being part of the church the is one of the primary doctrine of Christ.

(11) From the study ,we learnt that joining the church is not just by mere raising up of hands but the word of God must first be heard, understood ,then accepted after which baptism should be done before one can then be integrated into the church.

(12) We learnt too that after being members of the church,we are to depart from fornication or any other type of sin.

MY PAST BELIEF
(1) Before now, I didn't consider baptism to be one of the primary doctrine of Christ to be done by all believers.

(2) I didn't know too that baptism is a "must fulfilled" to be member of the church of God.

(3) I used to believe too that we are the church instead of we being part of the church that has already been established by Christ.

(4) I used to think too that it's also correct calling the church , church of Christ instead of calling it 'church of God'.

MY RESOLUTIONS AFTER THE TEACHING
(1) I have come to the knowledge that baptism is the primary doctrine of Christ and that it remains the formal criteria for being integrated into the church.

(2) I have come to know now that we aren't the church but we are only called to be part of the church which has been purchased by Jesus with His blood.

(3) I have also learnt that the church should be called the" church of God" because the church on earth actually belongs to God and no others and hence it should be called after His name.

(4) We are not to be involved in commiting iniquity but we are to live in the newness of life by takingg away the works and deeds of the flesh.
