Hello brethren,
Once again I want to share with you the word of God that I learnt from today's Bible study.

THE IMPORTANT POINTS I LEARNT FROM TODAY'S ZOOM MEETING.

From The Catholic encyclopedia the birth of Christ was celebrated by the Romans in January but after 3030 years, they changed it to December 25th.
The reason been that, they copied what emperor Aurelia declared as the date for the celebration of the false God which is 25 December.

If Christ was really born in December how come there was no snow but the shepherd were watching over their sheep on the Field.

During the time Christ was born there was peace. Christ is the symbol of peace. It appears they are not celebrating the birth of Christ because there is cayous and fire works every where.

From the Hebrew calendar, the fourth month is June/July. This is the month when Zachariah went to his wife after the Angel visited him.
Elizabeth conceived in the fourth month.
Luke 1:24
At the Sixth month of Elizabeth
pregnancy, the Angel appeared to Mary and she also conceived in the month of January.

Luke 1:31
Mary visited Elizabeth and she was three months pregnant when she left Elizabeth. So John the Baptist was born in April.
Counting six months from April ends on October. So the possibility of the birth of Christ is last days of September and early October.
We are not sure of the exact day but the month can be October.

It is the day of Christ that we celebrate. It is believed that the day of death is better than the day of birth.
The death of Christ is what is important and not his birth.

Christ was born before the creation of the world and the is the important birthday of Christ. He was born in eternity so how can you put a date on that.

John 17:24
It is not the birthday of Christ on Earth that is important but his death.
Let us not aspire to know the birth day of Christ because the Lord is eternal.

MY FORMER BELIEVE OR EXPECTATION THAT WAS IMPROVED AFTER LISTENING TO TODAY'S BIBLE STUDY.

Formally I thought that the birth of Christ was December 25 but now I know that the possible month is October.
I now know that Christ was born in eternity so it's his death on Earth that is important to us and not his birth.
Through his birth we were saved.

WAYS IN WHICH THE STUDY AFFECT US THAT CAN MAKE US A BETTER PERSON THAT WE CAN USE IN OUR DAILY LIVES.

The study has made me realize how important the death of Christ is and not his birthday which the Romans say 25 December. So I will really celebrate his death rather than his birth which many people have been received to believe.

Thanks be to God.

Brethren, please try adding > to quote the verse in the post, please see this example

> John 17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

Thank you very much for that comment. I will do as you have said.

Due to some circumstances, the publishing rules of our Hive community have to change. The changes are as follows;
✅ Do not include any verse in the post, if we want we can add some screenshots of the verse inside our post.
✅ Minimum of 400 words in a single post.
✅ It is good if we can answer these 3 simple questions when making our Hive post.

  1. What are the important points we have learned from God's words discussed in the Zoom meeting?

  2. What are our old beliefs or expectations that were improved by listening in the Zoom meeting?

  3. How does the study affect us that can make us a better person that we can use in our daily lives?

We suggest adding more of our personal reflection on the topic discussed, I can give an example here,

Matthew 28:20 - we have learned that we are to obey the commandment of the Lord and preach the gospel in all nations until the end comes but who are the main people who will preach, it is in the church of God as it is written

1 Peter 2:9 - God's people have the obligation to preach the gospel that is found in the one body. In this way we can always add our personal reflection and understanding, we can avoid mass quoting the whole verses.

We have to apply this to avoid any conflict from other communities. I hope we understand, God help us.
