Greetings brethren, hope you are all doing well in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Here is a review of a YouTube video by Brother Eli. The question was asked, "Does God have control in the fate of a man, or is a man to make his destiny?"
In this video, Brother Eli takes a deep dive into the Bible, showing us God's relationship with the first man and woman who were given free will and the power to choose. But they choose to use the freewill or power to choose, against the commandments God gave them.
Looking at it from the concept of faith, it will be right to say the fate or destiny of a man is in two parallel lines. One of the lines is God, while the other is the man himself. This means the destiny of fate of a man is both in the hand of God and also in the hand of man.
From the account of Adam and Eve, the first man and woman God created, it was explicit that God gave them the power of freedom of choice. The implication of this is that they have the power to choose what they wanted, either to obey God or their minds.
In Gen 2:16-17, the commandments of God to Adam were simple. Genesis 2:16-17 (KJV) And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
The understanding from the above scripture is that God gives them commandments and also gives them the freedom to choose whether to obey those commandments or not. Adam has the choice to either do as God has commanded or do as his mind let him.
By obeying God his fate or destiny was put in the hands of God, while to disobey God his fate or destiny was put in his own hands. When a person decides to obey God, his destiny or fate is put in the hands of God, but if you decide to not obey God and choose to do what your mind tells you, your destiny is entirely in your hands.
For Adam, God didn't force him to obey the commandments, but there was a warning and the penalty for going against what God has instructed.
The instructions were, you must not eat of the Tree of Knowledge and evil. But if you eat of it, "thou shall surely die." This implies that they were given the power to choose. To choose obedience or disobedience.
The same way God treated Adam and Eve is the same way he is treating us. We can either choose to obey God or disobey him. But, there are penalties for disobeying God. God leaving us with warnings about the implications of disobedience shows that God doesn't want us to be lost. This shows that God cares about us. And so, God has control over the fate of a man.
The decision is for us to make, whether to choose to obey or disobey God. Obeying God gives him control over our destiny. on the other hand, if we choose to disobey God, we are choosing to take our destinies into our hands.

As humans we are always have choice, we have been privileged to choose between good and bad. God does not force us to follow him, we decide who to follow. So whoever we choose to worship we all bear the consequences.
