Keeping the Family Intact Biblically// Mcgi Topic Review (part 1)

God’s design for the family is that it should live within the boundaries of the gospel. Every parent, especially fathers, carries a deep concern about how to guide their children how to raise them in such a way that the family remains united and firmly held together. The truth is, there is no lasting solution outside the way of the Lord. Only by following God’s way can a family remain intact and strong.

Living according to the way of the Lord means living within the limits and guidance of the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, the genuine gospel is not practiced or taught in every religion or in every place. Where God’s true teachings are absent, families often struggle, and society reflects those spiritual deficiencies. This reality makes parents even more concerned about the future of their children in our present time.

However, Scripture gives us assurance. Psalm 103:17 reminds us that the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon those who fear Him, extending even to their children and generations after them. This promise shows that godly living does not affect only one generation, but has lasting impact on generations to come.

The fear of the Lord must therefore become our way of life. Biblically, fearing God does not mean being terrified of Him as one would fear death or dangerous animals. Rather, it means revering Him, honoring Him, and submitting to His authority. Ecclesiastes 12:13 clearly teaches that to fear God is to keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.

Obedience to God’s commandments is the foundation of family unity. It is the only sure way to preserve harmony in marriage and stability in the home. From the very beginning between husband and wife God established order and commitment, as seen in Romans 7:2, which teaches that marriage is a binding covenant.

In conclusion, families are called to live according to God’s law, His commandments, His will, and His instruction. Living within these divine boundaries produces unity, stability, and peace. If every family on earth chose to live according to the law of God, broken homes would disappear, and families would remain whole and united as God intended.
