They are three distinct and different persons. The Lord Jesus Christ is in the river Jordan, the same with the Holy Spirit which came from heaven and abode upon Him as a Dove. But the Father is in heaven saying, 'This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.'
And that was testified to by the Apostle Peter in 2 Peter:1;
For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased. This voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
The very voice which was heard by John the Baptist was also heard by the three apostles when they were with the Lord Jesus Christ on the mount, the scenario there proves that these are three distinct persons. And to prove this further is John14:28;
Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye love me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father, for my Father is greater than I. If ye love me, ye would rejoice, said the Lord Jesus Christ to his disciples, because I said, I go unto the Father.
if he is the Father, unto where is he going to. He is not the Father, he is the Son, and he is telling the disciples, if you love me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father. If they are the same person, is there a need for the Lord Jesus Christ to say that the Father is greater than Him? That will be saying something which is not logical. The Father is different from the Lord Jesus Christ, because the Father is greater than him.
1 Corinthians 15.24-25!
Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father, when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, All things are put under him, it is manifest that he is accepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
Those verses do not need clarification or explanation because it tells us clearly of what will happen at the end. When the end comes, he shall deliver the kingdom to God, the Father, when he shall have put down all ruling, all authority and power, because he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet, and the last enemy that is to be destroyed is death, for he hath put all things under his feet. But when he said all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is exempted. There is somebody who the Lord Jesus Christ cannot put under him, when he said all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is exempted.... The Almighty!
That's why He is called in the Bible as God Almighty, He is greater than the Son, greater than everything and everyone.
So they are different and distinct persons from each other.
