I welcome you all to the Day 2 of the MCGI Mass indoctrination. Today, consider the church. In our present time, we find ourselves surrounded with different denominations under the Christiandom. In the Bible, we are told that there is only one church.
The word "church" is what is assigned to a group of people that come to fellowship in the name of the Lord. Any other name used to address such gathering is wrong. You and I make up the church with Christ being the head over us.
Collossians 1:18 - And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
We were once influenced by different beliefs until we were called out by Christ and became members of the true religion. The church belongs to no man but to Christ.
Acts 20:28 - Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
How we treat our brothers under the household of faith matters. We ought to treat them the same manner Christ would have treated them if He was on earth. That is how the Church is meant to operate. It cost Christ a lot to obtain the church, therefore, we His disciples should endeavor to manage it well.
