MASS INDOCTRINATION (DAY 14)- 16TH OF JANUARY, 2025

In the New testament, we see Jesus being baptized. Christ publicly got baptized along with other people by John the Baptist. Going through the scriptures when Christ was on earth, He carried out certain activities that we may continue in them even after He went to heaven.

Just like when He took communion with His disciples, He told them to continue in that act in remembrance of Him.

The same thing is applicable to baptism. Despite Christ's supremacy, He still brought Himself low to be baptized by John. Even though John the Baptist who baptized Him was beneath Him. Jesus also went on to instruct his disciples to carry out this practice in their ministry.

Matthew 28:19 - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

It is necessary that baptism should be adopted in every church as it is a commandment of Christ to everyone who follows Him. We should ensure that when we get baptized we do it as a body that is representing Christ.

Any baptism that is not done in the honor of Jesus Christ is false. When getting baptized we shouldn't do it casually as it is something that is sacred. Therefore we should be mindful of the person who get let baptize us. It is important to recognize the person of Jesus Christ while we undergo baptism.

Other passages discussed in today's teaching are:

I Corinthians 12:13, Ephesians 3:10, Ephesians 3:14,Deuteronomy 12:5, 2 Chronicles 7:16, Ephesians 4:14

Sort:

Jesus Christ was baptized so we also have to baptize
