Hello Brethren, I was so excited in joining the Mass Indoctrination program of the MCGI, and it was really massive as pastor Eli Soriano expounded His teaching today through different scriptures but hammering on our Obligation as Christians in the Church through the following scriptures:
Heb 10:24-25, James 2:1-4, 1 Cor 11:21-22, Act 20;7, 2 John 1:12, Matt 26:41, Job 38:7, 1 Cor 14:26, Heb 2:12, Col 3:16, Heb 13:15, psalm 92:1-3, psalm 32:7, 1 Sam 16:23, 1 Cor 16:1-2, John 20:19, Act 2:46, 2 Chron 7:14, 1 Pet 5:14.
Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.(KJV)
I have observed that one of the things that may contribute to the love of Christians getting cold is the lack of enthusiasm for seeing each other especially for fellowship.
When we gather in the Church, we are encouraged by each other through different means like hearing the word of God, songs, prophecies etc and when we abscond gathering we die in our gloom, problems and other bordering and malignant issues of life whose solution lies in the hand of God.
When we come together in the Church, one another's needs could easily be spotted and a brother or sisters need could possibly or easily be met which is exactly when we are provoked to love but when a brother that is in need keeps absconding going to Church, there is no means through which his needs could be attended.
I learnt through this scripture that the church is meant to be a place where one another's burden should be born and not just a place where the poor are extorted of their subsistence means as we can see today in different churches and denominations. I must appreciate the MCGI for a selfless service unto humanity in this regard as they don't consider the religion or race of those at stake.
How the rich and the poor should be treated in the Church
In James 2:1-4, we are admonished not to play prejudice in our dealing with people especially in the Church. When we have people or visitors in the Church, we are to treat everyone equally. For instance, I have witnessed cases where ushers would ask people to leave their seats for a notable person that visits the church and thus is not proper as it doesn't say good about Christians.
There are denominations where the rich and the poor do not sit in the same place. Some of these denominations give seats to people based on their contributions to the church and this' shouldn't be so.
As Christians, we shouldn't act like people who have not heard or seen the light of the gospel of Christ. When it is about the church, we have to treat everyone equally and not place importance on the rich alone as many denominations do.
Although this isn't to eulogize the MCGI community, the work the community is offering to people within their reach is really incredible and without prejudice.
For instance, I witnessed through the MCGI mass indoctrination program about a Muslim girl who gained admission in the MCGI college and also studied for free but this is rear in many Christian owned institutions as even the members who are paying thiet and offerings in the Church even find it difficult to send their children to the schools owned by their respective Churches.
The Christians Day of worship
Acts 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
According to our respective calendars, we would all agree to the fact that the first day of the week is Sunday.
The early Christians normally worship on Sundays and this is also exactly what our contemporary Christians should follow since the Christian belief is generationally contagious.
There are some denominations that disagree with this mode of worship although everyone is at liberty to worship at any day since all the days were created by God, we shouldn't see any day to be more sacred than the other in rendering our worship to God.
We shouldn't be deceived as many people believe that Saturday should be the preferred day for worship or possibly say that Sunday is more sacred than the other days but we should be convinced in ourselves who we are worshiping as this is very paramount.
Christians shouldn't also be deceived that people who worship on Sundays are of the antichrist as this is a wrong doctrine which is not biblical.
Singing songs to God
Singing is an important aspect of our gathering as believers even according to 1 Corinthians 14:26 How is it then, brethren? When ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.(KJV)
Praise and worship is actually the only thing God cannot do for himself and when he sees people doing it for him, he becomes very excited and happy.
God loves singing which is also one of the core reasons why he created everything.
When we sing songs to God, he is provoked to bless, heal and attend to those problems we couldn't solve ourselves.
Singing good songs should also be adopted in the Church.
In the course of Pastor Eli's teaching, he said even according to the scriptures that while the world was created, the stars which represented Engels sang and also in the new testament, we also witnessed how the Angels sang as a result of Christ's birth.
It is important we sing to God and while we do so as we gather in the Church, God comes and relieves us of those burdens we can't solve ourselves.
Conclusion
Christians are exhorted not to forsake the gathering of ourselves as we provoke one another in love when we gather.
We shouldn't place more importance on the rich than the poor in the church as everyone is meant to be treated equally according to the scriptures.
We should be convinced of whom we are worshiping despite any day one has chosen to perform his religious rite unto the Lord.
Singing songs to the Lord should also be prioritized in the Church as this compels God to do those things we cannot do for ourselves.
Thank you for going through my contribution regarding the MCGI zoom meeting engagement.
I also pray that God will bless everyone who is in collaboration with this great move of the gospel within our time. I also wish to use this opportunity to invite everyone to join MCGI, a community that studies God's word through the below but please, artificial intelligence generated articles aren't tolerated in the community.
Singing is very important in the gathering. We should always encourage and help one another in the house of God. Thanks for sharing brother
Really we cannot dissipate this fat that singing should not be separated from our gathering. Thank you for going through brother.
We should also care for the poor. They need our help
This is factual my brother and has been my prayer for divine settlement so I can always have something to give to the poor since there will always be the poor around us according to the words of Christ.
