We fervently desire to know God and have amazing experiences, for this we simply have to pay attention and listen to Him carefully.
And it came to pass about eight days after these sayings, that he took Peter, John, and James, and went up into the mountain to pray. 29 And while he was praying, the appearance of his face was changed, and his raiment dazzling white. 30 And behold, two men talked with him, which were Moses and Elijah; 31 who appeared surrounded by glory, and spoke of his departure, which Jesus was going to accomplish at Jerusalem. 32 Now Peter and they that were with him were overcome with sleep; but staying awake, they saw the glory of Jesus, and the two men that were with him. 33 And it came to pass, that as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us that we are here: and let us make three tabernacles, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah; not knowing what he was saying. 34 While he was saying this, a cloud came and overshadowed them; and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. 35 And a voice came from the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son; listen to him. 36 And when the voice had ceased, Jesus was found alone; and they were silent, and told no one about what they had seen for a few days. 37 The next day, when they came down from the mountain, a great multitude met them.

Just as on the mount of transfiguration to his apostles, there are times when God allows us to be part of an amazing experience and when this happens it is simply to reveal who God is.
In the portion of the Bible that we have read we see Peter, James and John who were before the presence of God, at one moment they were able to contemplate his majesty and so they observed him together with Moses and Elijah who at that time were very venerated by the Israelite nation, at one moment they heard a voice that came from heaven and they fell down to worship.
5 While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them; and behold, a voice from the cloud, which said: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; listen to him.
Matthew 17:5
In this biblical picture we can understand that a spiritual experience is one that focuses us and places our thoughts towards God. Any situation or activity that only magnifies man or some other activity without directing our attention to God we can understand that it is simply something false, in this way we can know when a spiritual experience is true or not. This is very important to keep in mind here in these times there are many events and situations that do not put attention on God, it is the man or the activity that is magnified and we can understand that we are not talking about a spiritual experience.
Does God need to make us participate in these spiritual events? We can say that God in some way seeks to motivate us to refocus on him and in some way resist any doubt that may arise. We can also through these spiritual experiences understand and correct any erroneous idea or thought such as: an erroneous thought is that God is too far from us.
Jehovah is near to all who call upon him,
To all who call upon him truly.
Psalms 145:18
God at all times, from the beginning of creation wanted to communicate with man, today the Holy Spirit speaks through his word, we simply must pay attention and listen to what he has to say to us.

Deseamos fervientemente conocer a Dios y tener experiencias asombrosas, para ello simplemente debemos poner atención y escucharle atentamente.
Aconteció como ocho días después de estas palabras, que tomó a Pedro, a Juan y a Jacobo, y subió al monte a orar. 29 Y entre tanto que oraba, la apariencia de su rostro se hizo otra, y su vestido blanco y resplandeciente. 30 Y he aquí dos varones que hablaban con él, los cuales eran Moisés y Elías; 31 quienes aparecieron rodeados de gloria, y hablaban de su partida, que iba Jesús a cumplir en Jerusalén. 32 Y Pedro y los que estaban con él estaban rendidos de sueño; mas permaneciendo despiertos, vieron la gloria de Jesús, y a los dos varones que estaban con él. 33 Y sucedió que apartándose ellos de él, Pedro dijo a Jesús: Maestro, bueno es para nosotros que estemos aquí; y hagamos tres enramadas, una para ti, una para Moisés, y una para Elías; no sabiendo lo que decía. 34 Mientras él decía esto, vino una nube que los cubrió; y tuvieron temor al entrar en la nube. 35 Y vino una voz desde la nube, que decía: Este es mi Hijo amado; a él oíd. 36 Y cuando cesó la voz, Jesús fue hallado solo; y ellos callaron, y por aquellos días no dijeron nada a nadie de lo que habían visto. 37 Al día siguiente, cuando descendieron del monte, una gran multitud les salió al encuentro.
Lucas 9:28-37
Así como en el monte de la transfiguración a sus apóstoles, hay veces que Dios nos permite ser parte de una experiencia asombrosa y cuando sucede esto es simplemente para revelar quién es Dios.
En la porción de la biblia que hemos leído vemos a Pedro, Jacobo y Juan que estaban delante de la presencia de Dios, en un momento pudieron contemplar su majestad y así lo observaron junto a Moisés y Elías que para esos tiempos eran muy venerados por la nación israelita, en un momento ellos escucharon una voz que provino del cielo y se postraron a adorar.
5 Mientras él aún hablaba, una nube de luz los cubrió; y he aquí una voz desde la nube, que decía: Este es mi Hijo amado, en quien tengo complacencia; a él oíd.
Mateo 17:5
En este cuadro bíblico podemos entender que una experiencia espiritual es aquella que nos enfoca y coloca nuestros pensamientos hacia Dios. Cualquier situación o actividad que solamente engrandece al hombre o alguna otra actividad sin dirigir nuestra atención a Dios podemos entender que simplemente sea algo falso, de esta forma podemos saber cuando una experiencia espiritual es verdadera o no. Esto es muy importante que tengamos en cuentas aquí en estos tiempos hay muchísimos eventos y situaciones que no colocan atención en Dios, es el hombre o la actividad que son engrandecidos y podemos entender que no estamos hablando de una experiencia espiritual.
¿Acaso Dios necesita si o si hacernos participar por estos acontecimientos espirituales? Podemos decir que Dios de alguna manera busca motivarnos para reenfocarnos en él y de alguna manera resistir a cualquier Duda que se presente. También podemos a través de estas experiencias espirituales entender y corregir cualquier idea o pensamiento erróneo como por ejemplo: un pensamiento erróneo es que Dios está demasiado lejos de nosotros.
Cercano está Jehová a todos los que le invocan,
A todos los que le invocan de veras.
Salmos 145:18
Dios en todo tiempo, desde el principio de la creación quiso comunicarse con el hombre, hoy el espíritu Santo habla a través de su palabra, nosotros simplemente debemos poner atención y escuchar lo que tiene para decirnos nosotros.
