When God created the universe He created it with all good intention in His heart for mankind. The Bible told us that when God created the universe He saw everything that He had created and proclaimed them to be good. This means that there was absence of evil as at the time He created it.
Before the creation of the heaven and the earth in Genesis there was already an existing world which evil consumed and destroyed it and God had to start afresh and create another one. This alone tells us that God is not pleased with evil going on in the world. Our God is a good God and He wishes good for His people.
God created a perfect world but the enemy came and sowed and evil seed which is responsible for the evil that we see in our world today. The Bible tells us that the thoughts that God has for us is the thought of good and not evil but to give us an expected end. A father can never wish evil for his children.
GOD loves us so much to begin to think of evil for us. The Bible in John 3:16 told us that "for God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son to die for our sake". He sent his Son to redeem us from the evil of this world. One of the reasons why we are still able to cope in this world despite the evil occurrences that is going on in a daily basis is by the Love and the mercies of God upon our lives.
We must never fail to understand is that God really loves us and will never intend evil in the heart for us. Rather it is His intention that all men may be drawn to him because in Him we have peace
God's intention for us is good and not bad.
