Mass Indoctrination: Day 13

in MCGI Cares Hive3 years ago (edited)

Hello brethren, I hope you doing great? it's good to study God's word and also share it with others. I thank God for the leadership of this community MCGI) for the opportunity given us to partake in the study of God's word and to share it with others. I would share with you what I learned from the mass Indoctrination Day 13

Important points we have learned from God's word discussed in the Zoom meeting:

We learned that there are two kinds of sins in the Bible according to 1John 5:16. There is a sin that leads to death and sin not unto death. If someone commits sin that is not unto death can pray for the salvation of his soul but if the sin leads to death then we can't pray for the person. A sin unto death can't be forgiven by God. God can reject anyone who fail to stop sinning.

We told by the Bible to have nothing to do with a divisive person in Titus 3:10.The divisive person is the one who does things that is against the Church. The situation is different with some churches who are not true church, they don't expel someone who is committing a grievous sin which tarnishes the image of the church. We told in 1 Corinthians 5:13, to stop associating with a brother who is sexually immoral, greedy, an idolater, a slanderer, a drunk, or a robber.

What Are Sins Unto Death?

Mathew 12:32 teaches us about a kind of sin that cannot be forgiven. This is the sin that leads to to death. Whenever you sin intentionally against the holy spirit you will not be forgiven according to the Bible

Sins Against the Holy Spirit

Blasphemy
Speaking against the holy spirit is blasphemy. By intentionally violating God's laws and sinning against the holy spirit there will be no forgiveness. Blasphemy is about speaking agasint the holy spirit but there are other things people do that blaspheme against the holy spirit as stated in Acts 15:19-29.

Eating food offered to Idols
Worshipping a creation and not the creator is an abominable act against the creator. Christians are therefore forbidding from doing things that is a sin against the holy spirit like eating food offered to idols, worshipping angels, praying to creatures, eating of blood, bwoing or kneeling down before a creature to worship etc. We all serve not the same God and so if food is offered to idols or false gods we should avoid it. True Christians do not eat anything abominable or unclean Acts 10:14.

Eating Blood of animals and strangled animals
Eating of blood is something that have been probihited by God. Blood is sacred to God, God through His son Jesus poured out his blood as an atonement for our sins Acts 20:28. Animals that died by themselves and their blood wasn't poured out shouldn't be eaten by a christian. Naturally, such animals often die from certain diseases that can easily affect the one that eats.

Committing Fornication
We are to flee from fornication because it is a sin against the holy spirit. According to 1 Corinthians 6:18-19. Our temple is the holy spirit and so when commit fornication we sin against the holy spirit. He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with the Lord and he that is joined to a harlot is one body with the harlot. For this reason, any sin we commit is a sin we commit against God's spirit that dwells in us. Another way we fornicate again the holy spirit is kneeling before false gods instead of the true God himself.

Old Belief That was Improved By Listening To The Bible Studies:

Through the studies, I have come to the knowledge of many acts that have often been overlooked but tend to be a serious sin against the holy spirit or God. I have come to the knowledge that there are foods that a christian should avoid, for example food offered to gods or false God.

How the Study Can Make Us Better And How We Can Use In Our Daily Lives:

The Bible says that we shall know the truth and the truth shall set us free. The study has enlighten us more concerning the sins against the holy spirt that we need to avoid and I believe it will be a great blessing to us and it will help us live well for God.

Thanks be to God for listening on our meeting.

MCGI Cares (Hive) community's main mission is to share the words of God, not the Hive upvotes. If we get upvotes, please treat it as just a bonus. Do not focus mainly on material things as the bible is teaching us not to look at things seen but rather focus our eyes on things not seen.

II CORINTHIANS 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

It was a wonderful service indeed 🙏

Yes it was, I always enjoy partaking in the the studies
