I thank God for the grace and gift of life for making it possible for me to be part of today's sermon.
As a Christian, have you ever wondered why in some cases we pray to God and some of those prayers are unanswered, well that was the center of preaching in today.
As we all know, prayer is a means of communicating with God.
He is our father who is heaven, we are his children and it is presumed that the father answers the prayer of his children but sometimes he doesn't answer our prayer.
According to today's sermon, sin is a reproach which has the capacity of making God to turn away from our prayers.
- John 9:31
We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly person who does his will.
In this part of the Bible, we were meant to understand that only those that are devoted to God and his will will have their prayers answered by God.
How then can we reconcile with God and have our prayers answered.
Purify thy self : the first step is to purify your heart.
God is giving us the assurance that only if we can turn away from our sins , that he will take us back and answer our prayer.

- Ephesians 4:31 :
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.
The first step towards cleansing our heart as instructed by this passage of the Bible is to let go of those negative attitudes that has the potential of of disrupting our spiritual growth and relationship with God.
- John 15:3
You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.
Accepting the word of God as it has the power to cleanse and purify our hearts.
These were the words of our Lord Jesus Christ instructing his apostles to remain steadfast in his word as it has a transformative power.
So my dear brethren , we have to allow the word of God into our hearts on other for us to be cleansed.
Let us also learn to depart from iniquities.
It is important that when making prayers to God we don't do ot carelessly. Nice review
