Children are the heritage of God
I want to discuss from today's topic " what is the proper way of teaching children about the church ( part 1 of 2)
As a parent,
First, it is the duty of the parent to teach their children properly as apostle Paul to open their mind to the reality of what the Bible says about things surrounding them.
In the book of Acts 26:18 which read thus; To open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan Unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
We cannot challenge person who doesn't who doesn't know or believe in God. Instead we teach them.
We should encourage the youngsters to acknowledge the lord, as in the book of Ecclesiastes 12:1 which says Remember now thy Creator in the days of youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say , I have no pleasure in them;
Time will come after the youthful age when a person will say I have no pleasure in serving God. We should serve God at our youthful age so that at the later days you won't regret it when the evil days come.
How can parent's teach their children?
- Taking them to church
- Teaching them in the way of the Lord
- Teaching the to obey their elders
- Correcting them when they do wrong
