We create a large vacuum in our lives if we don't have God in it. Having God in our lives gives us direction and purpose. Man was initially in relationship with God but after the he fell it brought about the separation between God and man.
After this event the method of fellowship between God and man was no longer the same. In the time of garden of Eden fellowship between God and man was easy. But after the incidence which occurred this brought death upon man as a result of the disconnection that transpired between God and man.
But despite this turn of events God still desired that man have fellowship with him. God is spirit and those who seek Him must seek Him in spirit and in truth. God's word shows us that when we seek God with the whole of our heart we will find him. We need to be intentional when it comes to seeking God.
The Christian race is a personal journey. No one can truly seek God for us, it has to be something that we do by ourselves. We can be introduced to God by being preached to but when it comes to having a relationship with God it has to be done by ourselves.
The Bible says in the book of Romans that we should work out our our salvation with fear and trembling. No one will work it out for us, it is an exercise that we have to do ourselves.
