I bring you all greetings in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. It's a new day and a great opportunity to review the Bible and share my entry on the topic: Does God hear the prayers of idol worshippers?" as discussed by brother Eli. The answer to this question is simply 'NO', because God according to the Bible, the prayer of a sinner is an abomination unto God, Proverbs 15:8. Also, since idolatry is a sin unto God, those that practice it are sinners and God cannot hear them. 2 Corinthians 6:15 also emphasized that there is no relationship with God and Belial.
"And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?" God detests idolatry. He has commanded us not to bow for any graven image in the book of Exodus. How will He now answer the cry of the disobedient that worship what He created? In fact, God commanded us to have dominion on the things he created not to worship them.
"Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold". Exodus 20:22. Worshipping of idols is a shameful thing. It's a terrible act that dishonours our maker that created all things. Some people even deceive themselves that we are serving one God, which is false, no wonder they perish in ignorance. God cannot answer their prayers because they failed to honour His commandment and the Bible made us understand in the book of Proverbs 28:9, that "He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination."
Therefore, we are to only worship the Lord, our God because we are nothing without Him. In Him we live, move and have our beings. Those idols have mouth to talk, their ears are even too heavy to hear their worshippers. So, why are they serving them? It's of no use. So, John 9:31 beseeched us that, "Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth". May the Lord answer us when we call in Jesus name.
