So sorry you never made out time to meet with your dad before his death, sometimes we are too busy that we forget things and people that matters, but it's good you took the resolution to care for family and friends.

About the relationship, no one is perfect and everyone has a past. Our past is just a fraction of life for us to generalize it to everybody. The world system makes it looks like guys or ladies are all the same, but the truth is, everyone is different and so are you. I hope you accept this truth and embrace love once again.
