December had finally arrived, and the air was filled with excitement and joy as we all looked forward to the much-awaited Christmas party in our 11-Erikson classroom. From planning the games to decorating the room, the buzz among my classmates was contagious. This year, we decided to make it a day filled with laughter, bonding, and creating memories to carry into the new year.

The Morning Festivities

The party was started at 9 AM with a totally decorated classroom transforming into a wonderful wonderland, garlands made of red, green, and gold hanging on the walls, and a well-adorned Christmas tree proudly placed in one corner. It became a joint activity that bonded everyone together as everyone contributed to it.

We began with an opening prayer led by our classmate to remind ourselves of the season's true meaning. Then came the games! From charades to "Bring Me" and a hilarious version of musical chairs, everyone participated with enthusiasm. Laughter echoed through the room as we competed, cheered, and celebrated each other's wins.

A Feast to Remember

By noon, the aroma of delicious food filled the air. Our potluck lunch was a fusion of everyone's specialties—spaghetti, fried chicken, lumpia, cakes, and more. We shared stories while enjoying the meal, and each dish reflected the love and effort put into preparing it. A highlight of our feast was the exchange of gifts, where laughter ensued as some of us tried to guess our "Secret Santa." The thoughtful presents were a testament to how well we knew one another.

The Heartwarming Program

During lunch, we had a short program through which our classmates performed. Some of them sang Christmas carols while others staged skits that just left me in stitches. I remember the most touching part when they took us through a slideshow on the beautiful memories from past year experiences—field trips, intramurals, and random classroom antics. It is indeed a beautiful reminder of just how far we had come as a class.

Before closing the classroom celebration, our class adviser gave a meaningful message, asking us to preserve these moments and continue supporting one another. It was really emotional, and there was a feeling of gratitude in the room.

Afternoon with My Girlies

After cleaning up and saying goodbye to our classmates, the rest of the day unfolded as a movie outing with my girlies. By 1 PM, we were off to the movie house, all excited about which film to watch.

The movie we chose was a holiday-themed light movie, just suitable for the season. We sat down in our seats with some popcorn and drinks and couldn't help but share giggles and comments throughout the movie. The theatre echoed with our laughter, and it felt like the perfect way to wind down after the morning's festivities.

Cherishing the Bond

The day was not only about the events but also about the people I shared it with. My classmates, who have become like a second family, made the morning unforgettable. My girlies, with their endless humor and support, added a personal touch to the afternoon. Each moment, whether big or small, was a reminder of the blessings I have in my life.

A Reflection

As I lay in bed that night, replaying the day's events in my mind, I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude. The Christmas party wasn't about the food, games, or gifts but was about the connections we strengthened and the memories we created.

This day, full of joy and love, reminded me of what Christmas is all about: celebrating life, cherishing relationships, and spreading happiness. It's a tradition I hope to carry forward, not just during the holidays but throughout the year.

The 11-Erikson Christmas party and the movie outing with my girlies will forever hold a special place in my heart, a chapter of high school life that I’ll treasure for years to come.
