Huh, I had no idea! So I should add this hashtag to posts when I make them? I must admit, my songs right now are scheduled out through the middle of September at least, but I will add this on future posts :)
Right, put here with in the bar.
And have you ever tried sending your contributions to the designated communities? That would be much better to draw attention to yourself.
There are usually the right tags for the community there, so people can find you too.
I’ve gone to a few various communities, but since right now I’m doing a new song every day, I was worried that I might be considered spammy. I love hive open mic, but I usually record in advance and so I’m not sure what week it will be or what the theme will be. I’ve seen some others that want professional level content, etc…so I guess I got intimidated a bit and shied away from the popular places. I’m thinking after I reach 100 songs I may try branching out and doing more refined recordings so I can feel better about posting in better places. Do you know of any specific communities that would be a good fit for my style of recording?
First of all, I would recommend making a bit more of contributions and telling something about the songs.
How did you come up with this song?
What is the feeling you get from it?
What animates you?
In short, an authentic performance in writing.
If you're interested in music, you can also be more creative and write posts about your inspirations, which songs you particularly like to listen to. Who is your role model at the moment you start playing.
Just enter "Music" in the Communitys and have a look, there's really a lot displayed.
Thank you for the thoughtful feedback! My main intent here is to get a large repertoire online to share with bars and venues, for the purpose of getting gigs…if I’m being honest, I think that’s worth more to me than votes, although I must admit that seeing my videos gain traction online is exciting.
Anyway, so I’ve got videos scheduled out through late September…I’ve got a primary goal of getting 100 songs on here as quickly as I can without getting spammy, so typically I only post one a day - but I did take your advice on one that I posted fresh today, here - I think once I’ve got the first 100 done I’ll probably slow down, and at that time I do think I might make more effort in the text portion of my posts, at least on the ones that really do have a story. A lot of these aren’t particularly special to me, I’m just a bar musician trying to exemplify a well rounded sound profile :)
Thank you again for the positive feedback, I think it will be very rewarding to turn this into an opportunity to grow on the blockchain!

Please use the # HIVE-ENGINE, then my BEE's won't get lost when voting.
And thank you for the song, I enjoyed listening to it.
